Bath material is also called tapped bath. It is by product from aluminum smelters, and it can be used to replace synthetic cryolite when starting up new pots.
We’ve been doing the business for more than 20 year. And we have shipped about 150kt of pure tapped bath to customers worldwide with most of them went to China.
As several new aluminum smelters are being built and will be built in next 10 years, especially in South-east Asia, demand from bath material will be big. Most of the new projects are owned by Chinese companies which we know very well and we can easily reach them.
From 2023-2024, we successfully supplied more than 10,000 tons of bath to the first project of them in Indonesia. And we are contacting others now.
So, we will need more than 10,000 tons of bath bath material per year to meet our customers demand in next 10 years. We are trying to purchase from any aluminum smelters worldwide which has surplus bath material available.
